Through the years, TFDP has worked with numerous persons and institutions that helped the organization in advancing the cause of human rights in the Philippines. As TFDP celebrates its 40th year, it wants to pay tribute to some of the individuals and organizations who have been part of TFDP in its beginning years.

HUMAN RIGHTS DEFENDERS AWARDS.
On February 24, seven institutions and individuals will be honored based on the following criteria:
- Service to the cause of human rights – A substantial part of the lives of these people and institutions has been devoted to human rights promotion, protection, and defense.
- Integrity and leadership for the cause of human rights – Each recipient of the award has shown selflessness, outstanding leadership and unfaltering commitment in furthering the cause of human rights.
- Contribution and accomplishment for the cause of human rights – that the efforts of these individuals and organization have provided significant contribution to the promotion and defense of human rights; that their pioneering endeavor helped in the progressive realization of human rights.
