From Feb 12 to March 14 at the UP Vargas Museum, Common Space / Swarm Bibliotheque will be an autonomous hub for direct action.
The goal of the project is also within the idea of discovering and re-learning environmental sustainability to empower self-awareness and self-initiation towards practical and ethical systems of thinking in art practice and in communities. A demarcated space will make room for five autonomous artistic and anarchist projects namely:
- Onsite Infoshop — Mandaluyong based infoshop and community center, by Activist and researcher Bas Umali [SITE: Onsite infoshop Philippines]
- Etnikobandido — Pasig based infoshop and community center by Activist and researcher Chung De Vera [SITE: EB infoshop]
- Marindukanon Studies Center — Marinduqe based info shop and research center by researcher and activist, Randy Nobleza [SITE: Marindukanon]
- overXout — Collapsible infoshop by artist England Hidalgo [SITE: overXout]
- Civ Lab — Tactical laboratory by artist Jong Pairez [SITE: Neo Tasaday]
The space will serve as a temporary active space (info shop) that will function as a meeting point, workshop space (D.I.Y Solar Power, Wi-fi/Radio Station), lounge and bibliotheque.
